Crazy Pants!

"Crazypants is a descriptive word that means weird or insane, not insane in the sense that it means cool as in crazy cool or that's totally insane! Crazypants means insane as in a mental illness."

Well they are not as bad as first everyone will make out but I will say this they are fast. Having trawled the net for months I have finally found a pair of Speedo's to do me justice at Allens of Kingsbury (check out the bargain bucket). This means over the next few months the little pink drag shorts will be making fewer appearances. Sorry ladies!

Now the nitty gritty training stuff.

Monday was the first opportunity to get into Tattershall Lake for a splash and despite it being slightly chilly on the ......never mind after 30 or so minutes of splashing about it was soon time to get out and have a plesent lunch with the others. Maddy joined Doug, Judith and myself for the first swim and has taken to it like a duck. So this means that every Saturday at 0900 we will be in the drink for about 30-45 minutes until June when we will change back to the bigger lake and begin the mammoth sessions before the breakfasts I enjoy more.

With the toe feeling better I am venturing out more on the runs and managed another 10k easy before the coaching meeting before coaching at Waddington. I think that this weekend I should be able to get the mileage up but will leave the intensity for now.

Tuesday saw me in the pool first thing and then on the TT and cruising for an hour. I had to see if the bike was working fine after spending the winter wrapped up. She is running sweet and despite a few engine problems I can see a 1:05 Sunday. The pool was hectic and how I managed to do the 400 warm up and 4x800's so well is a mystery however from this session I have managed to get 2 new members for the club to join me in the lake on Saturday.

Today! 10k easy again this morning on the mill to see if the toe tingling had gone and 3x25 reps @ 45% of max weights session tonight. All I can say is I love training at the moment, I'm just having to readjust when I do everything though. 3 sessions in 1 day is too much even for me.
