This is really as a result of some written words and the false promise of promotion. The monkey in the tree principle....they only shit on those below them and only the clever monkey knows to get out of the tree and back on the bike.
After the torrent I went and trained, only a few sessions really before I felt recovered and normal as normal can be for a triathlete. They were 60 Min's sessions on the bike and runner at a steady Pace which had been very relaxed but with the blood boiling I went up a gear and despite putting more effort in I was cruising at the required zone comfortably. The following day still raging and now more so I took the mill by the horns and went from cruising to running with no difference in heart rate%. I am now angry with myself for getting worked up about things beyond my control.
As the weekend rolled in with the weather I had two big sessions. 90 min easy run and 3hrs easy bike. Well the run had to be done on the mill again and with my new legs and added rants I was soon cruising along comfortably at 12kmph. This is slower than normal but convert that to outside and it's soon allot quicker and more fluid. Sundays set was really after a late night and cold morning start. With fog and wind I decided to spend 3 hours on the spinners in the gym as the turbo is missing a wheel and the bikes are in pieces still. The first hour was great watching Girls Aloud hits. For which I must say Kimberly is looking allot better now. Then an hour of Naff Christmas hits before finally finishing me of with Westlife through the ages. Oh my! This has to have been the most mentally challenging session I have ever done. However afterwards I felt better and like I had done a workout on the legs.
So now this weeks rant:

Mike, good to see you back after your sense of humour failure last week. With regards to your question there is no logic when it comes to promotion boards. I have been f**ked over the last two years seeing knobs and choppers promoted ahead of me. Perhaps we need to stoop to the level of others and start kissing some arses!
ReplyDeleteMy new sup has done 2 years less than me and is almost ready to be picked up at the next board for his third. I can see why everyone is leaving at their time exit.
ReplyDeleteI have also been told that if I joined the Navy or Army I would be alot higher and better payed in the same period. Why is the easy route never marked!
